CARLA DETTER

CROUSE — Carla Renee Detter, 51, of 1272 Pleasant Grove Church Road, died Sunday, May 24, 2009.Her funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Kiser officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Miss Detter was born April 29, 1958 in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Carl L. Detter and Becky Harkey Detter.Carla graduated from West Lincoln High School and received her degree from Gardner Webb University. She later received further degrees from Appalachian State University. Carla was a National Board Certified Media Specialist working in the Lincoln County School System 28 years until her retirement.She is survived by a brother, Ricky Detter and wife Mary Ann of Lincolnton; and two nephews, Jeremy and Jeffrey Detter of Lincolnton.
